Islamic Calligraphy (FIC) 1.5

The Islamic Calligraphy application is a non-profit initiative operated by the Prince Ghazi Trust for Qur’anic Thought, an Islamic charitable organization (waqf) established by H.R.H. Prince Ghazi bin Muhammad bin Talal in 1433 AH / 2012 CE.

Recognizing a gap in freely accessible, high-quality Arabic calligraphy of the Divine Names, key Qur’anic verses, and sacred formulas, the Trust commissioned distinguished calligrapher Mothana Al-Obaydi, along with other expert calligraphers, to create and digitize these scripts. They were meticulously rendered onto digital formats to enable adaptation, coloring, and printing through the app and website.

This approach allows Muslims worldwide to incorporate exquisite calligraphy into their personal spaces without incurring significant costs—eschewing commercial or Western-style posters and expensive branded pieces. Instead, users can personalize their decor by selecting beautifully crafted calligraphic works at the price of a sheet of paper. Such accessibility aims not only to enhance the aesthetic quality of homes but also to inspire continual remembrance of God's Names, enriching both daily life and spiritual reflection.
